German-based discount retailer Lidl has announced that it is looking to add a further 50 stores to its Irish network. The retailer, which has operated in Ireland for 20 years, already operates 162 stores in the Republic, and 3 in Northern Ireland, and employs over 5,200 people on the island of Ireland.
